Big Bertha draws the crowds

Locals and visitors took full advantage of the Coast climate last night and turned out in droves at the Mooloolaba State School oval to spend an evening gazing at Big Beautiful Bertha.
Bertha – perhaps better described as an inflatable cinema screen – was doing her bit for charity with a school holiday outdoor screening of Collision Course in aid of the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation’s Koala and Wildlife Hospital. And there was much more to the night than just the big screen version of the Crocodile Hunter, with Chrissie and Ronnie from Hot FM hosting the event with live entertainment courtesy of Australia Zoo.
Collision Course was the first of a series of films that will make up Moonlight Movies at Mooloolaba, with a movie screening every night until Sunday, October 3. For more information visit Show Business at www.bertha.com.au or phone 5476 9639.
